Welcome to Viti Levu, Fiji's biggest island!

Right after the country transitioned from a military dictatorship back to a democracy with a new constitution, there you are, having recently spent a weekend in the city of Nadi (pronounced "Nandi") to participate in the world-famous "Real You Conference"! People come from all over the world to learn how to become their authentic selves in a series of workshops and presentations, and this year's conference took place on Fiji's famous black-sand beaches for which "Melanesia" is named.

You wake up the morning after the conference to frightening news—one of your friends has vanished without a trace! Your friend, who goes by the nickname "Troubled", was at the Real You Conference and then disappeared! Where on earth could he be?

To find Troubled, you'll have to track down clues on a journey that brings you all throughout Viti Levu. In this turn-based RPG experience, you'll explore forests, mountains, rugby fields, beaches, museums, Hindu temples, dive resorts, the ocean itself and many more! You'll talk to characters that bring Fiji to life with its history and culture—not to mention you'll also learn how to pronounce Fijian words correctly!

But finding your friend isn't always going to be easy! You'll encounter many enemies that try to get in your way, be they flattened toads, spicy peppers with an attitude, scuba equipment failures, people trying to sell you stuff, irresistibly delicious food or just plain distractions on your phone! Never fear! Kaverini: Viti Levu brings non-violent "combat" back with eight different emotions you can use to sway villains and pests from their evil and annoying ways! And each enemy has a different "weak spot" you'll have to discover for yourself!

These enemies don't just offer "damage", sometimes they'll even ask you to do physical exercises, answer deep questions, or reminisce on days gone by—each one will offer a varied emotional experience that will make you think about the tragicomedy that is life and feel its essence!

• Fantastically delectable items based on iTaukei (native Fijian) and Indo-Fijian cuisine! You can't use them in fights—you have to use them as soon as you buy them, but the bonuses they offer are permanent!
• Open world heavily inspired by the cities, town and villages of Viti Levu! Most of these places are areas you can visit today!
• Underwater levels complete with water physics!
• Animal characters inspired by the real-life fauna of Fiji, on land and in water alike!
• You can also visit Rotuma, a dependency of Fiji with its own unique culture!

This is a Game Boy ROM. To play this game, an emulator is required, but the good news is that Game Boy / Game Boy Color emulators can be found on almost every modern device you can name. Fancy that!
